THE ENTERPRISE ASSOCIATION SOUTH EAST AREA

BLUE JIB, THAMES VALLEY BOWL AND RIVER SERIES TROPHIES 2011

The following are the rules for the above three series:

For the Blue Jib Series (BJ) there are four events of which the best two scores will count.

For the Thames Valley Bowl (TVB) there are ten events, some are still water venues and others are river clubs which also count towards the River Series Trophy (RST) The best four scores will count, regardless of whether they are still water or river venues.

For the River Series Trophy (RST) there are six events of which the best three scores will count.

Any entrant can qualify for the Thames Valley Bowl or the Blue Jib Trophy.

There a two trophies for the River Series.    One is an Open trophy which all helms compete for.    The other is a restricted trophy can only be won by those who have not won an Enterprise Association National or Regional Event or Regional Series (including the Thames Valley Bowl or the Blue Jib).    In addition anyone whose name has previously been inscribed on the River trophy will not be eligible.  The purpose of this restricted trophy is to encourage participation from those who do not regularly sail the circuit events.

In the event of a tie in any series the tie will be resolved in accordance with the principles of rules A8.1 and A8.2 except that ties will be broken based on event scores and not individual race scores

Subsidiary trophies such as the South East Junior Champion for helm or crew under the age of 18,  may be awarded at the discretion of the coordinators based on performances in any of the three South East series

Club representatives must notify the series coordinators by e-mail of all results as follows

The RST will be presented at Hampton on 18th September 2011.  The TVB and BJ trophy will be presented at Papercourt, on 2rd October 2011.

No regional levy will be charged for 2011.  It is felt that entries are quite costly enough and prizes are already awarded by the clubs for individual meetings. Other prizes may be awarded at the finals at the coordinators discretion.
