Although only 3 Races were sailed this was still an excellent Championship with 58 Competitors enjoying what sailing there was on the water provided by Race Officer Roger Hocking and Team and first class social provided by Looe SC, off the Water.

An IMPORTANT ANNOUNCEMENT was made at The Prize Giving  Moment on Thursday – no Prizes but the Promotion of a Raffle initiated by RONDAR BOATS. 

  • THERE WILL BE A FREE RAFFLE FOR A NEW ENTERPRISE RONDAR BOAT. 
  • This Raffle will commence at THE SCOTTISH NATIONALS, ST MARYS AND FINISH WITH THE DRAW  AT THE END OF THE ENTERPRISE NATIONALS AT TENBY 11 AUGUST – 17 AUGUST. 
  • Full details will be published on The Enterprise Web Site. 
  • All you need to do to enter this Raffle is:- FIRST -  MOST IMPORTANT - BE A CURRENT MEMBER OF THE ENTERPRISE ASSOCIATION AND DISPLAY A MAUVE TRANSOME STICKERS 2011, BLUE ON WHITE TRANSOME STICKER 2012) – SECOND - ENTER AS MANY ENTERPRISE OPEN, AREA AND NATIONAL EVENTS BETWEEN ST MARYS AND TENBY AS POSSIBLE (You will receive a Free Raffle Ticket for each event you enter (these will not be given at events but awarded against the results list sent in by the organizers of the event – very important the Association receives all competitors, not just the first 3 to 6) As there is a lack of reports for 6 Races I thought it appropriate this year to promote the Enterprise Association Nationals Prize Giving List. It really is an event worth attending. There is a Trophy (and our famous Wooden Plaques) for Each of the Nine Races which are presented daily.  Harwich Borough Cup - RACE 1, Lanning Trophy - RACE 2, Holyhead Challenge Trophy - RACE 3, Whitstable Yacht club Trophy - RACE 4, City of Glasgow Trophy - RACE 5, City of Plymouth Trophy - RACE 6, Mereke Gumbrell  - Memorial trophy - RACE 7, Frank Thompson Memorial Trophy - RACE 8, Need The Points Trophy - RACE 9. Followed by these trophies presented on the final day of racing at THE PRIZE GIVING CEREMONY:-
Gold Trophy - National Champion Helm. Helensburgh Trophy - National Champion crew. Pirate Trophy - Highest placed Helmsman counting all races sailed. Iris Bowl - Lady HELM National Champion. Slim Pickins Transom Trophy - Awarded to second overall winner. Steve Nicholson Trophy - Awarded to fourth overall winner.  Mary Arnold Baker trophy          - Awarded to the highest placed lady whether HELM OR CREW. Yachtsman Trophy - Highest placed helmsman over 40.   Admiral`s Trophy - Highest placed helmsman over 50. Roy Barker Trophy - Highest placed helmsman over 60.   Yachts and Yachting Trophy - Highest placed helmsman aged under 21. Ron Brittain Trophy - Highest placed COMPETITOR under 18. Betty Southworth Trophy - highest placed CREW over 40. Generation Tray - Highest placed boat sailed by father or Mother with son or daughter. Rolling Pin Trophy - Highest placed husband and wife./partners. Nassau Conch - Highest placed overseas helmsman. Peter Squires Club trophy - Highest place Club counting three boats.  Gold Division Trophy. Silver Division Trophy. Bronze Division Trophy. New faces (no trophy) - First time helm that has not previously competed in the Enterprise National Championships as either as a helm or crew.     Ginga memorial award - Special endeavour award.
